![]() BIS ESTABLISHES ONLINE TUTORIALS FOR U.S. EXPORTERS
Last month, the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) announced on its web site that it has created a new resource for companies interested in learning about U.S. dual use export control regulations. The new resource, BIS Online Training Room, includes four training modules entitled: (1) Export Control Basics; (2) Classifying Your Item and Determining if You Need a License; (3) General Prohibitions Including Prohibited End Users and End Uses and Activities; and (4) Introduction to BIS Deemed Export Policies. These four modules are full-length, Windows Media format videos narrated by BIS staff members. Transcripts of each of these videos are also available. In addition to the four training videos (with accompanying transcripts), the BIS Online Training Room offers the following webinars: (1) Reexport Controls; (2) An Introduction to Commercial Export Licensing Requirements; (3) Intermediate Deemed Exports; (4) an Update to China Export Control Policy; and (5) An Introduction to Commercial Export Licensing Requirements.
